Know the Power of Essential Oils

Essential oils are one of best gifts from nature. The delicate compounds present in it demand great care in their production. This starts from growth, cultivation, distillation, storage, handling till it comes your hand for use. Many people do not know that pure essential oil is made up of many individual compounds which make the entire process of extraction so important.  For example sandalwood oil is used in various aroma-therapeutic procedures.

Most of us love to buy essential oil as it is a concentrated liquid that contains volatile aroma compounds which are extracted through steam distillation. In fact it is of great value to an herbalist and those seeking to experience the essence of plant medicine. You can feel the powerful effects of absolute oil as it is concentrated aromatic oil as they are created in low temperature to preserve the fragrance. This means that the aroma of absolute oil is similar to the original plant. The scent can evaporate if not taken proper care of. Therefore they are store in dark, air-tight containers and kept away from heat. When the oils are kept properly they can last up to five years.

One of the modern methods of extraction of Jasmine oil is through flowers combined with hexane that absorbs into the extract and then it is removed to create a semi solid viscous liquid. The solution is then filtered and concentrated with the process of distillation to produce a waxy mass known as concentrate. The polar and fragrant compounds are then extracted from the concrete and turned into ethanol.

Absolute oils are particularly important and precious when it comes to the study of entheogens. This is because there are certain flowers which can only be distilled with the help of gentle procedure. There are some people that are interested to experience the true power of magical plants but are unsure how to prepare the raw plant is prepared? For them absolute oil is a good choice as they are concentrated than essential oils.
